Elephant Sculpture in Town Hall Square
Chester Zoo has donated a 1metre high bronze statue of a calf elephant to Chester. The sculpture by Annette Yarrow is simmilar to the one standing near the Zoo's entrance and which attracts a lot of children to it's back.

Chester Zoo Zulu Dancers
throughout August Chester Zoo has played host to a troup of dancers from KwaZulu Natal, The Mighty Zulu Nation Theatre Company. In the past they have toured Britain, Russia, Italy, France,Germany and South Africa with a mixture of traditional Zulu dance and music. This is not the first time they have appeared at Chester Zoo. Their program is a great crowd puller with pulsating drums, dance and acrobatics.
