After a service in the Cathedral, wreaths were placed around the war memorial prior to a march along city centre streets led by The City of Chester Band. With, veterans, seamen from HMS Albion and soldiers from the 1st Battalion Royal Welsh Regiment, airmen, and cadets. Before passing through Town Hall Square where Captain James Morley (HMS Albion), Lord Mayor Cllr Neil Ritchie, Lt Henry Ricketts and Flt Lt Dick Jelfs took the salute.
